In a recently reported motor vehicle accident involving
a pedestrian. The accident was documented as having taken
place at approximately 9:00 p.m. As of the time of the
report, the police had not yet revealed the identity or
personal details of the male pedestrian. He was hurt but
alive at the scene and was taken to a local hospital. He
subsequently passed away at the hospital as a consequence
of the injuries he sustained in the accident. A 43 year
old man was behind the wheel of the vehcle responsible for
the accident. He fled the scene of the accident and abandoned
the vehicle The driver failed to stay, rather he left the
location of the accident, and then left the vehicle
unoccupied close by. Bystanders who saw the accident
described the driver, the vehicle and were also able to
give the police the vehicle's license plate number. The
police saw the driver as his son was picking him up in
another vehicle. After the police stopped that vehicle the
man tried flee. The police were able to locate and arrest him
a brief time afterwards. The police also arrested the man's
son. He was found driving without a license and had drugs in
his system. The son was nineteen.
